Vitamin(e) B. featured in the book Meditation

The exhibition about ‘Meditation’ at the Museum of Religious Art | KRONA Uden comes with a comprehensive book about meditation.

Meditation is far more than just a sitting still. This book takes us on a journey around the world, from east to west, past to present, to mindfulness and yoga. With contributions of artists and scientists.

THE COLOR OF MONEY

Collecting and gathering money makes the world go round since ages.

Is the end of money in sight, with cash bank transactions dropping 98% since 1985 and local banks closing?

Will today’s children grow up looking at banknotes like we look at shells? A colorful piece of paper, useless for payments, because paying is likely to be done with a fingerprint.

Giants Buddha’s and golden temples stand tall for ages, reminding us of the inherent Go(l)d we are. For the real gold rush no packing is needed.

THE GRACE OF GRAY

by

GraceofGreyBlog

More than a color, gray is a state of being. As movie star Susan Sarandon puts it, “I look forward to being older, when what you look like becomes less and less an issue and what you are is the point.”

Gray is the color of transformation. Gray is beyond the age of play, but yet lives lighter than any other color. Gray is the color of consciousness and, like a butterfly, flutters free, free, free. It is friends with all colors, but doesn’t need other colors to be in harmony with life itself…

HEAVEN’S DOOR

Something blue…

Out of the blue, I am into blue. On my walks, I am taking pictures of blue accents. Blue walls, doors and windows. Crossing the continents, blue pops up wherever I go. Back home, I sit back and tune in. What is happening here? What is this attraction to blue? What is blue? What kind of blue is it?

Blue is loyal, and blue is royal. Blue belongs to you and me, and is beyond belonging. Blue is the color of healing and peace, inviting us to open closed doors. Blue may be the very color of Heaven’s door…..

PLANT POETRY

by

My colour card for well-being is found in the souks of Morocco. The herbal and spice souks sell pigments to dye textiles, paint walls, flavour food, colour pottery and to heal body and soul. Pigment Poetry. Each store is a feast for the eye. Each display is a piece of art made with love. It is here where hope is bought and our senses wake up. Here, we find the mystical alongside the mundane. It is a true treasure and pleasure for all senses.

The Pharmacy of Paradise inspires me to dream, the stuff the future is made of…

FREE SOUL

by

Picture Eric van der Elsen for Happinez

Pictures with me on it are rare. As long as I can remember I run and hide when a camera comes in sight. I don’t want my picture taken. Or better, I feel awkward, with the attention on me, with no one, no work or words to hide. I love to capture the world from behind my camera. I love to share my vision with the world and hope to inspire and create awareness.

Happinez saw in me a role model for free souls. Hmmm, if so, how free was I, if I had to come from behind my camera and be in the lights? During the shooting I did let go, freed my soul, with a whole crew looking at me while the picture was taking. A great lesson in letting go of fear and ego and to just be. Here I am, on a full page, with no place to hide except my dear 30 year old Australian hat. Just me…
