Picture Eric van der Elsen for Happinez
Pictures with me on it are rare. As long as I can remember I run and hide when a camera comes in sight. I don’t want my picture taken. Or better, I feel awkward, with the attention on me, with no one, no work or words to hide. I love to capture the world from behind my camera. I love to share my vision with the world and hope to inspire and create awareness.
Happinez saw in me a role model for free souls. Hmmm, if so, how free was I, if I had to come from behind my camera and be in the lights? During the shooting I did let go, freed my soul, with a whole crew looking at me while the picture was taking. A great lesson in letting go of fear and ego and to just be. Here I am, on a full page, with no place to hide except my dear 30 year old Australian hat. Just me…
