The United Arab Emirates have been for years my stopover hub, flying from west to east and back.
Little did I know about it’s seven emirates; Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Qaiwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah.
During SIKKA Art Fair, Art Dubai and Dubai Design week I enjoyed the UAE fully and learned how they are merging from traders to into creators. With 80% of immigrants a city like Dubai is a true melting pot of cultures, creating a rich soil for art to bloom.

Tips: Stay at XVA Art Hotel in the middle of the old city, don’t miss out the Women’s Museum or the Alserkal Avenue Art galleries and A4Space, before you jump in a taxi to visit the Sharjah Art Foundation and Museum.
