More than Zero
My art road trip from Chicago to New York starts with a perfect day: Bowie for breakfast, a lunch break with Kapoor and Dylan for dinner. Can’t think of a better start for this extraordinary Chicago|New York art week, with a stopover in Pittsburgh, visiting the Andy Warhol Museum and seeing the Duane Michal’s exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art.
So inspiring to view the work of some of my favorite artists together at Guggenheim’s Zero exhibition. Awesome to discover new works and artists in the streets of Chicago and in the different spacious galleries in Chelsea. Magnificent to finally have time to visit Dia:Beacon and the Nogushi Museum. A pleasure to stay, right in the middle of the arts district in NY, at the minimalistic Japanese inspired Hotel Americano, next to Piet Oudolf’s High Line.
A selection of art works by artists Günther Uecker, Anish Kapoor, Lee Bontecou, Jaume Pensa, Sari Dienes, Cy Twombly, Susan Hefuna, Isamu Noguchi, Otto Piene, Heinz Mack, Herman de Vries, Thomas Houseago, Louise Bourgeois, Richard Serra, Maria Lai.
